Cassiel's wings pumped viciously through the sky, his speed increasing with every push and pull of his metallic wings. His last visit to these Gods had ended him up in a Fog of sub-zero level left to die, to bad the God didn't count on Cassiel's own powers coming into play. He recounted having to eventually stop every mist of fog and spreading them so he could find his bearings, the island came into view over the rising water.
Cassiel was angry yes, but not for the creatures little game. These things had the audacity to call themselves gods, then when their creators messenger arrives and commands an audience they banish him to a dense fog with no human hope of escape? He knew that these creatures needed to be taught a lesson in manners to their superior's, or at least disgraced in some vile way. Cassiel had the perfect idea, his feet landed heavily on the rocky shore of the island, the rocks around his feet crushing underneath the force of his drop. Each step he took landed with a crushing blow to the island spreading millions of cracks through the ground at least 800 meters wide, he did this knowing that defiling these Gods island would anger them some.
The mist around the island started to swirl once more at his arrival, he could feel the mist start to ensnare him once more. His eyes lit within seconds the large metallic wings pumped viciously against the mists pushing it back, his arms shot up glowing red from the heat escaping from them. He started to punch throwing fireball after fire ball aimlessly into the mist, it seemed to have no effect.
The mist seemed to not dissipate with the fire, he leaned back rolling his arms around one another twisting and meshing the air behind him. Twisting around he whipped the air in front of him pushing the mist farther back, his frustration caught him then. With a long draw he shot up into the sky above the mist, he looked down at the mist below and the gods island. He spoke aimlessly to them
"This is your island? Then watch it crumble you filthy mongrels..." He pulled the heat from the sun pushing out his right arm and gripping the energy, it formed quickly heating extremely fast. The ball of fire seemed to grow tremendously fast until it was about half the size of the island, keeping his right arm back he shot forward pulling the fireball of energy with him he twisted his shoulder throwing every ounce of strength into the throw.
The ball seemed to go very slowly at first but suddenly an ear splitting boom resounded across the sky as the fireball whipped into the center of the island, the ball struck pushing the mist to the edges of the island. The impact and heat seemed to decimate any living thing on the island itself, trees were turned to ask and rocks were melted from the heat. The explosion was large but not massive, the scar in the middle of the island could be seen from where the angel was floating. He floated with his arms crossed looking in disgust at the island below, he spoke with discern at it
"Cowards." He sat floating waiting for any sign on them.

There came from far below a whisper. The world what she occupied shivered slightly, just enough for her to feel. She seemed as if asleep in time - dormant for all intensive purposes: dead. Her eyes fluttered open, languidly, grasping for detail of the place around her, and wondering fleetingly of all that was below. She saw the land, vast and sprawling - set within the facet of the wild blue ocean, and she grew disinterested. Her eyes slid closed.
Then, the world shifted, as if a great weight had been pressed on one side of it. The ethereal plane seemed to mock the forces of gravity so carefully designed by she that needed it for sleep, and pitch her existence onto its back.
Her eyes flew open. Nothing had changed. There was no tremor, no shifting, and certainly no world-flipping. She unclawed her hands from the throne that she had fashioned, and wearily, she stood. The throne dissolved behind her, as did the world around. She was left in a roiling fog of white, and as she watched the curling mist sway and move, she leaned her head in closer to listen.
The mist retreated, leaving the Kingdom that was hers. Its splendor was immeasurable, but she found little notice in any of its beauty. She seemed to see steps arching down a long, elegant pathway, and she followed them. They took her to a circular area, wide open and as if suspended a great distance above the earth. Drowsily, she stared out at the stratosphere swathed in wain clouds. She peered down and saw a glimmer of the land that was hers below, she knew this as her dominion and none elses'... and she yawned.
"Something has happened to our home," she commented, as if nothing had indeed been affected and this was not her home she spoke of.
Her voice dipped lower then, to a more sudden and vicious anger than would have been humanly possible.
"Where are the rest of you? Come to the Observatory... See what has become of our fair rock in the sea."
Still with that drowsiness, she crossed her arms behind her back, staring down at the small speck of devastation. There would be blood to pay for this, she decided.

A disturbance. Yes, he could easily feel when something was amiss; when something was out of balance within his world. The islands may not be leaving, breathing creatures, but they were still brimming with energy. It was an energy that he was so attuned to, that the moment something changed he would feel it immediately. Now it happened again and again, the island's life force flickering with each disturbance. It should be noted now that though it flickered it was never in any danger of going out. He would never allow such a thing. However, it did change and sway a bit with whatever was causing the problem.
Then there was a great force placed upon the island, startling it - confusing it - and causing a low and admittedly barbaric growl to form in his throat.
The very thought of someone wishing to do harm to the island- to his island was such a sickening thought that he didn't care to think about it at all! He had known mortals to be foolish, but to come here, to his home and try to destroy the place! The creature surely wished to die. There could be no other explanation. No other explanation was needed.
He heard a voice then. A voice he knew well, and one that betrayed almost as much anger as he felt. He knew better than to trust that voice but still he appeared before her.
His hooves crashed upon the floor with the rest of his preferred form's impressive girth following them. However, no sound was made; no rock upturned to betray his presence. He looked past where the feminine form stood, gazing down far below them. Slowly, he lumbered forward to join her.
Looking down at the damage that had been done, he snorted in disgust. He recognized the life as the one that had come searching for them many days prior before they had turned him back amidst a sea of mist. The mist... he was trying to attack that too, was he?
"That fool," he muttered, shaking his head.
The scum needed to be taught a lesson. He needed to be made an example of for any other mortals who dared to think they could so easily go and desecrate their sacred land. He could not- would not sit idly by as any further harm was done to the island.
"I say we turn that land into his burial ground."

The soft sound of a small sigh struck the silence. Large antlers lifted off the ground and a head soon followed. He was being called. They were causing a ruckus again. No, it was not them. That thing was the one to blame. It was why they were calling him. They wanted something to be done about that noisy creature that thought itself so great as to be able to destroy their property. He snorted and jumped up, his hooves leaving large impressions on the soft ground below.
What a bothersome creature it was, this angel. He had escaped the mist before, and this time he had tried to destroy it. There shouldn’t have been a second time. He shouldn’t have come back. But small creatures like him never seemed to learn their lesson. Their deaths came before wisdom.
In this case, the delinquent had no sense of style. He had only thrown a raging ball of fire at the mountain to create a disturbance. It hadn’t even wreaked proper damage. He should have used more elements and quite a bit more power. It wouldn’t take any effort at all to restore things to the way they had been. Sinking the island would have worked (anything would have worked, really), and it would have done a bit more damage, but that wasn’t original either.
He joined the others with a whir of leaves. Gahja was being impulsive, as usual. He wanted to burry this creature on their island? No creature deserved that honor, especially someone who purposefully damaged their island. He would have to say something about it if Mother didn’t realize the implications.
This creature should be placed in an anomaly. Not a never ending staircase, but something to that effect. Something he could never get out of. He should not be killed, not right away. He should be tortured mentally. Let him stress over things, and give illusions of battles and enemies. And then he could wake to find that it was all a dream. And that he was still on the island. In a cage. Surrounded by the mist.
He snorted again and took a few steps forward. A deep sigh moved his body as he spoke.
”You called, Mother.”
This would be a fun day, perhaps. But was this worth being woken? They would see…

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,470,true] | [bg=726f45] She rolled her eyes as the vicious one said his fill, and again when Osini refused to comment on the situation. So typical, that this would happen again. Without turning to either of them, she let her head loll to the side and her body slip into a sitting position at the edge of the suspended platform.
Her beautiful home was destroyed. She kicked her legs out over the ledge, letting then dangle over the wreckage below. It seemed so very high, and it appeared to be important, but none of this was correct.
"Too much too soon and too little too late. Thank you, boys, for the insight," she waved a hand behind her, still fixed on the smoke rising from the wounded landmass. "But what of this angel and his work? Really? You think something this detrimental has happened before?"
What a mess - an island crippled. But she had a point to this statement of hers. What had happened besides this? This feeble little world to rule, and where were the wars? The civilization? The subjects? Until now, this world had lain barren before them, and though they populated it with their beasts of evil and good, what had it done for them?
"I think it exciting!" she hopped up, gripping the ledge with her toes and craning her head over just slightly to remain fixed on the spectacle. "Bravo! We should reward the winged one. What a pretty sight he's given us!"
She turned to them suddenly.
"But really, what did you expect from them? We let them into our land and our graces, and they take it upon themselves to amuse us with such petty things as destruction... Now, if we had followers... If we had an uprising of faithful and the crusades that went with them! What kind of fun would we have then?"
She returned her gaze to the world below, quieting down.
"But really... What did you expect?"

At the sound of approaching hooves, he didn't look back, but rather, he again shook his head and gave out a snort. Always helpful, that one was. More of a damn hindrance than anything. This was why his presence was ignored as Gahja raised his arms over his chest and turned to face Quaeshi. When it came to hindrances, she was almost as bad as the other, but one could rarely predict her, and so it was worth it to give her a bit more of his attention.
"Looks like we're one short," he muttered to no one in particular.
It wasn't as if he had been necessarily hoping that she would appear. She was just as flawed as the rest of them. However, her apathy made her the easiest to get along with. Now, he had a feeling he would be fighting an uphill battle.
Indeed, it began the moment Quaeshi suggested rewarding the mortal.
"Are you mad?" He growled, his teeth grinding together as he moved closer to her, "He comes and desecrates our sacred land, and you say we should reward him for it?"
He barked a laugh and moved away, looking down at the land again. This was how it always went, wasn't it? Letting the mortals onto their land - letting them ruin it, even - and then batting them around for a bit and toying with them like a cat with a mouse... all in the name of fun? Were they gods or children?
"In that case, why don't we reward all the mortals who have been sacrilegious to us? Like that cat who went against our direct ruling when he released that other fool. I'm sure he'd be great fun to pal around with!"
Letting out a heavy sigh, he threw his arms open, gesturing toward the world as a whole.
"Creatures like that should be met with a swift punishment followed by a swift death. They should not be placed upon a pedestal and paraded around like a prized animal."
He let his arms fall to his sides as he turned away from them. They were fools, the both of them. Though Osini hadn't yet said anything, he felt that it was a safe bet to assume he'd follow whatever Quaeshi did. Wasn't it always his luck to be surrounded by incompetence.
