Lyle was starting to let his frustrations and fears catch up with him lately as he had never had an outburst in the middle of school. He was with a few of his "friends" before he had a flashback and ended up crying and screaming in the middle of free period. his "friends" had completely abandoned him in those short 5 minutes, making his panic worse. Multiple people started to stare and he just followed instinct and fled. He didn't care where he was going nor did he care about having the cops after him considering he was in the foster care system. he hadn't stopped his running until he had ended up at the steps of the town hall. It was the middle of the day and cloudless at that when he finally realized his surroundings. Taking off his hoodie as to calm down, he sat on the steps with a huff and a few small sobs. He had never had a break down in the middle of the day, much less a flashback. He seemed to curl up as the black tank he wore looked too big for his tiny frame. taking his hoodie and draping it back over his shoulders, he spotted a familiar cat walking up to him. even with his crying and sniffling he couldn't help to smile at the site of the scrawny, almost dead looking cat. It walked right up to him, earning a pet along the oddly velvet soft skin the feline had. Never had Lyle shown such attachment and trust to someone as he did this cat that he had no idea was his foster brother in the same house as him. He pulled the cat slowly into his lap as he petted it's head, earning throaty purrs from the beast.
"N-nice to see you too b-b-bone. i wish you c-could come t-to that p-place with me, maybe i wh-wh-wouldn't have to be so s-scared if you did..."
his eyes looked sad once more as the cat seemed to understand him and looked to be trying to comfort Lyle in the best way he could. Adonis bone himself could relate to the boy on somewhat of a level, as they both had fears of what they didn't know, and that is what would keep them together.

Sitting in the branches above, Yama watched, amused at the fragileness of the griffin. It was frightened. It was scared. And it would rightfully be so if it was the one with a price on its head. Alas, the target was someone else. A dragon, if his employer had been truthful. Odd were, the target was a type of dragon that was quite different from traditional dragons. The reason for his suspicion? His employer had seemed less than truthful about some important facts.
But no matter. It wasn’t a mafia leader he was supposed to kill. Just someone who had screwed the wrong man’s wife. Yama didn’t get a lot of these jobs as the husband typically liked to get his revenge. This time, though, the husband just wanted the man gone, and threats hadn’t worked. That was why he was here. The target often came around here. Probably had some sort of wive cellar, the stupid drunkard.
But he wasn’t here now, and he probably wouldn’t be for another hour. In that case, it couldn’t hurt to go play with this little kid and the Cheshire that had just walked up. Yama didn’t typically get along with his own species, but it was worth the entertainment. After all, paranoid and frightened people were interesting.
”Is you’re your friend? Can we be friends too? I don’t have many friends.”
He said this in a childish voice, innocent and sincere. He smiled a Cheshire smile and plopped down on the ground in front of the kid and cat.
”Nice to see you, brother.” he mumbled under his breath. He wasn’t sure if the Cheshire would mind him calling him brother, but to Yama all felines were family. There was one catch.
Family was untrustworthy.
So he would keep an eye on this one. The griffin, he was harmless. The other could be quite dangerous. Hopefully they would be able to understand each other, at the very least.

Instantly lyle's eyes felw wide with terror at the man that suddenly jumped out of the tree. He pulled Adonis close to his chest as if the man would take his only true friend away from him. Purple-blue eyes held open wide as he just seemed to stare at the man grinning at him. Adonis on the other hand was letting a low growl come from his throat until he realized the man was another Cheshire cat as he was. He stopped his growl but glared coldly at him as he knew the damage his kind could cause. Lyle slowly started to gain control of his voice, though his words came out feeble and seemed to trip over one another. "wh-wh-who are you? I...I've n-never seen you b-bef-f-fore......" He squeezed Adonis slightly, making both realize how scared the fledgling griffin was of this new person asking to be his friend. He knew better than to trust that though, his broken childhood showing only Adonis could be trusted accruing to Lyle.

Yama smiled at the young boy as he started to freak out. ”Of course not, because we haven’t met, but I mean no harm” He looked more at the other Cheshire as he said the last part.
Would he be believed? Probably not. The one was paranoid and the other was right to not trust him. In this case he was telling the truth but it one could never know if it was him. He liked it that way. It kept people on their toes and it allowed him to keep his distance from everyone.
More to scare the little griffin than anything, he changed into his favorite calico cat and smiled up at him. ”Is this form any less intimidating?”
If the griffin actually was more comfortable with a second cat, so be it. It was no problem if he wasn’t creeped out. After all, the reason for speaking with these two was not to creep the one out. No, he just wanted entertainment, and no matter what the reactions of the two he would get it.
Unless that dragon came along. Then he would have to drop the farce of Mr. Nice Guy and kill the target. That would probably shake the griffin to the core. The cat that was in front of him disappearing only to re-appear as a human with a large knife stuck into someone else's throat.
He almost wished that would happen. It would definitely scare the griffin, and the cheshire would know to stay away. If only he had the luck.

His eyes were suddenly the size of saucers when the man turned into a cat before him. He couldn't help to crawl up the stairs some while still holding Adonis in his arms. Adonis however couldn't help but hiss at the cat, his eyes narrowing at him using his eyes as a way to tell the Tom to stop scaring his foster brother. Slowly Lyle started to calm down, his head tilting to the side some as his pupils grew in size. He was analyzing him to the best of his abilities without having to come in contact with him. "Wh-what are Y-y-you?"
He moved closer to the calico cat and slowly reached out towards him, but was stopped by Adonis giving a low, almost angry growl. Lyle was stunned yet again as Adonis talked in his slightly low voice. "Don't go touching creatures you don't know, mainly when they are more dangerous than they appear."
Adonis knew there would be concequince in finally speaking, but wanted to protect the scared little griffin as best as he could. Lyle had let go of Adonis at this point. His eyes staring the felines down with terror. Both seemed to shock each other as Lyle reached out to touch his ear and Adonis nuzzle into his brother's arm. They seemed to be almost understanding in that moment. Both boys looked back to Yama, one still scared the other much calmer than over cautious.
"th-this is B-Bone. I'm Lyle. Wh-wh-who are y-you?"
