Yeah, I killed that character, but they got themselves in that situation all on their own

Daylet, too, was discolored. Her six claw-like feet made strange tracks in the sand as she walked, and she could only imagine what the kissing couple a hundred yards away thought of the huge moth that just landed on the beach. Yes, they were staring at her now. They had stopped their disgusting little action to stare at her in shock and surprise. They knew of the creatures here, yes, but it seemed the thought of the legendary lunar moth had never crossed their minds.
Actually, it was probably Daylet’s glowing spots that drew their attention.
Of course, she had used them to get here, but she had appeared up height in the sky so as to not awe anyone. People already knew of her might (or at least they should) so what was the point in showing it off? Not just anyone could expect her to appear before them, and when she did they should definitely not expect anything else.
Unless that person was Daniel. But he was special.
No one else was. Other people were not as great as her. On the off chance that they were more powerful, they were not as merciful or kindhearted. Those of greater power were often of lesser heart. Those of lesser heart could never use their power to the maximum. Never
The couple completely forgotten, she changed forms and walked down to the water. Her human footprints would be washed away by high tide, when it came, leaving only her bug prints left. The locals would probably think it was nothing but a bird, if the wind didn’t cover them first.
She walked along the tide pools, looking for any of the night creatures she had seen before. She also wanted to find a giant cockle, if possible. They were interesting to dig up if she used her hands, and they clamped shut if she touched them. Such delicate creatures they were. They died if she simply opened their shell without them wanting her to.
All the same, she liked their shells and that was what really mattered. | |

Sorry about the uber-lateness, but I've been super busy! [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i51.tinypic.com/mtqyde.png]
Wings spread as wide as they would go, she glided gently along just inches above the waters surface. Vera allowed herself to be taken wherever the wind wanted her to go. Her white cloak trailing behind her, the moon shone brightly and reflected off of the water, causing her almost translucent skin to glow a strange, pale white color. The moonlight also caught in her hair and wings, making it them glisten as well. She must have looked bizarre indeed, perhaps similar to a ghost, gliding amidst the waves. However, if the people here knew anything of her kind, she wouldn't have looked out of the ordinary at all.
It was nice to go flying again. True, she went flying many times during the day as she was wrapped up in the affairs f the gods or other beings of this world, though rarely now did she ever fly for pleasure, and rarely did she ever fly at night. There had never really been any need to, and that was a shame. She enjoyed the night very much. Where she came from, there wasn't a night at all, so this time of day was still very strange to her. Very strange and very, very beautiful.
So she had decided to set aside the time to fly around for a bit on many nights. She had been told that the night would be more dangerous than the day, though she still hadn't figured out why one time of day would be more dangerous than another or, for that matter, what was even meant by 'more dangerous.' So far she hadn't seen anything that she would call 'dangerous' and she doubted she would.
By now her feet were barely scraping along the surface of the water, and rather than pump her wings a bit more, she allowed herself to be carried down further until she slid right into the water. She brought her wings in close to her body and finally used a bit of her energy to swim back a-ways. She hadn't been that far from shore, so it wasn't long before the tall figure was able to stand, after which she glided through the water toward the shore, easily pushing the water away from her so it barely slowed her down at all. She could sense several creature's presences around here, though she promptly ignored them for now. There were creatures everywhere.
