The soft crunch of hard leather on the grass was the only noise around, Cassiel had landed on the shore of this particular island with the inner sense that something powerful was emminating from the islands core. The weather had shifted tremendously on his flight over and even as he entered the islands shadow he could feel a force pushing him down, he had walked for a good couple of miles hearing nothing but the soft crunches of his sandal gripped footwear. His senses were and had been on high alert sense he had seen the island, no goosebumps showed on his flesh as the chilled wind fluttered past offering anyone silly enough a cold and painful death if caught in a storm.
Cassiel's eyes drifted up and looked at the peak of the mountain top where he knew he would soon get to, his calculating eyes shifted only slightly as he could also see a figure standing there. The shape dissapeared, he stood still watching for the movement or sign of a lifeform. He saw none, lowering his head he treked on through the picks of ice and grass onward to the mountain base. Everystep seemed to weigh on him more and more,
'Something is'nt right here...' His mind wanders to itself hoping to find anwsers he didnt know, he could tell his consious mind was trying to overlap into his subconcious to give him a glimpse of his general theory about the island. He stopped his footsteps and looked around marking everything
'Harsh weather, inhabitable by man or many animals.' His eyes widened as he thought of the possibility of something he hadnt encountered in his travels across the world, the look of shock and some small type of horror crossed his face but was soon whisked away. He couldnt let the human emotions get the best of him, the angels mind wandered to the emotions. He could start to feel them, something like a tickle in the back of his mind but it was there. He could feel them pulling at his mind telling him to give in and let them forth but he walled them away, he knew the more time he spent on earth in his form the more he turned human. He would never lose his angel capabilities and powers but he would start to feel the same emotions as every human and creature alike, he knew what emotions did to people and how they could affect every moment in a person or things life. He had to keep them in check, especially now, definatly now. Something was on the mountain, or even close to him now, he wasnt sure.
His senses were sharp but seemed rather dull on the unnamed island, he couldnt know what the thing was but he knew if he ran into trouble then he didnt have anyone around to help him out. He felt unsure and doubtful about continuing, he stood staring at his legs for a moment watching the small amounts of snow stick to his bracers and guards attatched to his extremitites. He looked back up at the peak and continued on, whatever it was that was here was in for a visit. He focused his thoughts and soon a counter wind was started up around him blocking the now tearing wind and freezing snow, the weather had managed to make itself annoying and tiresome.
(A few hours later)
A figure stood before the tall mountain on the unnamed island, his wings tucked behind his back and a small bubble of wind surrounding him from the weather outside of it. Cassiel stood resting for a moment before getting ready to climb, flying in the weather would be impossible. He could, but the effort to gain altitude and use of energy for his bubble would tire him extremely quickly in this area.
He felt weak, his arm reached up and grabbed an outstretched rock on the mountain, with a quick pull and grab he moved swiftly up with each pull. His body swung easily and fluidly from rock to rock as he climbed, his balance was perfect as he perched on edges and hung from cave tops. His climb was long and arduous but soon he came to a clearing just below the clouds, mist rolled from the top of the mountain as he looked over the edge he was climbing into the fog. It was so thick you could move it with a flick of your wrist, he climbed up and stood at the edge of the clearing looking into the dense fog that seemed to sit like a snake waiting for prey to move closer.
He stood where he was making no move to enter the fog, he would have to use some energy to clear it to see what was ahead. He waited for a few moments watching the fog, waiting for something to come out. His guard was up and he was on the ready, a long resounding sound of metal gliding across metal came from the angel. In his right hand was a thin sword, a blue tint illuminated from the blade as he held it, his eyes shifted through the fog the gold ring around his pupils starting brighter as he did.
"I conjure and command you! Show me your face!"
