Jaedon didn't know what to say to his response at first. What was she supposed to say to something like that. It was sweet to say the least. Jaedon just looked at Neron for a moment. Then she sighed, "Then I guess it is a good thing that I kept them all. Maybe they will cheer me up if I am ever depressed again, now that I know who wrote them that is. Before hand I came this close to throwing them away." Jaedon held up her hand her fingers showing a very small distance. She then noticed that he was rubbing his arm. It was the one that she had injured not long before. Her face clouded up and she looked at the spot where her magic had pierced through. It still resonated slightly with dark energy. She had used a lot both times. It was kind of hard for her to look at it without feeling guilty. She never wanted to do something like that again. "Hey, are you okay?" she hardly even knew why she was asking. Of course he wasn't okay. He had just lost his best friend and she was making it no better. She wanted him to give her attention and she wanted him to do more for her, and yet she did nothing for him but hurt him and cause him more pain. Jaedon suddenly wanted to run. She wanted to run away. She felt like her own thoughts were killing her. She turned away from Neron, a dark look had come over her face.

"Yeah, a good thing you kept them all...I guess I will have to make you really mad so you can rip them all into pieces. That way I won't have to do it myself." He smiled. "It's my luck that you didn't rip them up already." He rubbed his arm a bit harder, massaging the soreness out, it felt a tad bit wet, meaning it probably broke open a little bit. "Cursed luck."
It was then that he saw that Jaedon turned from him, he could feel a dark mood about her. Dropping his hand he strode over to her. "Hey now, what's with the doom an gloom all of a sudden? You were just remarking on my mood problems, look at you." It had to be with his hurt arm, and his question. Why did he have to bring attention to it? "stupid, stupid, stupid...." Everything had been going so well until he had goofed it up. Shaking his head he grabbed her by the shoulders firmly and pushing aside the pain he felt in his heart and his arm he let a smile pierce through all his worries. It was a true smile, one you didn't see on Neron's face often, if ever. "I'm fine Jaedon. I'm just fine. I've had a lot worse. Believe me. My violin could be a testimony to that if she could speak words instead of melody." His green eyes shone brightly. "Hey, don't worry about me. You did what you had to do, it was my own bloody fault that I got in the way."

There he went, comforting her again. Jaedon almost got mad at him for being so nice, but she didn't want to make things any worse than she had already done. Neron was right, her mood swings were more than slightly annoying and she was more than slightly noticeable when she had one. It was like the entire atmosphere turned to rain and thunder simply through the devastating aura she sent out. She heard him protest that he was fine and that there was nothing to be upset about but she was not going to accept that.
"Yeah, the second time. It wasn't your fault the first time." Why on earth did she have to put a damper on what had been happy for her?! She would have been content just to let Neron hold her up and sap all of his strength, but that simply was selfish and not considering the fact that he had feelings too. She wanted her own thoughts to be satisfied, she wanted her feelings to be calmed and she wanted her heart to feel happy. "It might have been your choice to intervene, but it was mine to start the whole mess. Ares picked a fight and I couldn't have been a more ready opponent." she glared at the ground as though it would disintegrated just from her burning gaze.
Wait a minute, why ruin this for Neron? He needs something to get his mind off of his shoulder, not directly on it. Selfish me yet again... She thought about how she was being so moody and decided that Neron didn't need to deal with that. She would deal with that. She shook her head and sighed, heartily ashamed of herself again. Then, pushing herself to do it, she forced a smile and spoke with the same carefree voice she had been using a moment ago. She turned and looked at Neron. "Sorry. Another moment of self-pity right there... Gees I'm getting bad at that." She laughed at herself and then looked at the ground. "Next time, just slap me out of it." She was glad that she had learned how to act, but she found that as long as she acted, she became. Her act was so convincing she convinced herself. She couldn't be a happy little elf, but she could smile and act as content as she could ever be.

"No Jaedon, it was my fault both times." Neron shook his head. "I provoked you to fight the fist time, and I jumped in front of the blow the second. Plus you just mentioned that it was Ares who picked the fight, he provoked you over your limit and you had to fight. If you didn't he would have. Ares..." Neron sighed and shook his head, he wasn't going to let himself think to much about Ares, "Has a talent for provoking fights." He averted his gaze.
"I'd be glad to slap you out of it next time...perhaps I might just get my hand ready right now, you look like you are about to relapse. " Neron shook his head and resisted the urge to grip his arm. "Now, what can I do to increase you happiness? I'm at your service." Bowing almost as low as his violin case he made a flourishing motion of his hand. Then straightening up he awaited his command.
Neron didn't want to think about anything right now. Right now even Neron was acting happy, the last thing he wanted was to be by himself. He didn't want to think about Ares or his arm. Both things gave Neron pain to think about. Somehow he would resolve his relationship with Ares, he just didn't know how to yet. His friend could be as stubborn as a mule sometimes, and Neron knew that better than most. So for once in his life he was prolonging a conversation, but he knew that this wouldn't last for to long.

"Alright, Prince Charming. Thanks for your services but I don't think that there is anything that could make my mood lighter." She grinned as she thought about something that might make her happy. "I don't think I am going to relapse." Truth was that she hadn't really gotten he changed mood to go away, so it was impossible to relapse. She was just acting, but that was okay for now. All of a sudden, her thoughts about what would make her happy unraveled into a very good answer. "Come to think about it. There is something you could do that would make both of us happy." She looked down at the violin. "Play her again. I want to hear!" She smiled at Neron innocently and her emerald eyes got bigger and bigger. She was going to make sure that he did exactly what she wanted.

"Hmmm well I guess I could do that much. Alright I guess I will have to oblige you, if your eyes get any bigger they will burst." Reaching down he unclasped the case and taking the violin out of the case he quickly played some scales and checked the tune. Then pausing for a moment he dug deep within. Letting his feelings spring from his finger tips into the violin it soon was vibrating with music. the music was light, playful, then it turned to a more caring side. It had a slightly restrained emotion, for he was skimming the surface, but Jaedon probably wouldn't notice, after all she had only heard him play three times. It would take someone who had heard him play many times to notice the lack of deeper quality. When the last note finished singing in the air he lowered the violin with a sigh. Quickly it was placed back in its case and put away. picking up his case he smirked. "Well now that I have finished my duty I will be off. Take care Jaedon." Turning he strode off. His dark figure grew the farther he got off until it was the form of a dragon. Then he departed, spiriting away in the air with his violin clutched between one of his feet.

Jaedon listened with delight and felt like she could float away. When she listened to music it seemed like the world with all of it's annoying people was gone. It was like Jaedon was all alone, and sometimes that was the way that she imagined things. She tried to think of different scenes all over the world. Some places that she had been, some that she had only seen in books and some that all she could do was think about. As the music streamed through her mind she would find that appropriate setting and place herself in it with no one else around her. Her favorite was a beach in the Caribbean that Fische had taken her to one time. It was on a job, but she had had the benefit of enjoying the quiet and peaceful beaches and the crystal clear water. When Neron left, Jaedon had trouble shaking herself from her imagination. She watched as he flew off into the distance. Running both of her hands through her hair she puffed up her cheeks and let out a sigh, "And in a few moments, I'll wake up." With that she turned and walked away. The End
