White, and everyone calls him White, has a remarkably disarming grandfatherly look to him. In his younger years, he used to be a strikingly handsome "young devil" as it might be described. The semblance of that still stands in White's now older appearance. However, any young, vicious ambition that might have made himself seem severe and deadly in his youth has now vanished, being replaced instead with a pleasant old charm that seems to emanate from his visage. In short, White looks like a kind old man. He always looks like a kind old man - even when he isn't doing kind old man things.

-Pedophilic - just like a Catholic doesn’t have to be a “practicing” Catholic and visit church every Sunday, White is not an actively “practicing” Pedophile. He doesn’t really have a preference over women of any age, and does not specifically look for children, but if presented an opportunity he will take advantage of it. Additionally, he considers kids to all be genderless and generally less important than adults – although he is very nice to them
-racist and sexist – once again, these are not as noticeable as you might think. He treats women and people of other races exactly as he would anyone else. however he has a lower tolerance for them than others, and is often driven to no more than verbal cynicism if provoked
-homophobic – much like the above two, this doesn’t show immediately, but White has more of a violent and aggressive reaction towards homosexuals. You would generally have to straight out hit on him for anything really terrible to happen though
-Sadomasochistic - though he tends to be more boredly interested in this than anything else
+usually avoids fights, although he has no problem with violence himself
-it is very hard to tell if White is drunk or otherwise dosed up, mostly because that’s his natural state of being

White is nothing more or less than a mobster at heart. As I have explained, he used to look the part of the cunning, sly young devil that would cut your throat and steal your wallet; but his old age has softened his appearance greatly, and now you could hardly imagine someone such as him doing anything other than sitting on a rocking chair and listening to the "oldies."

Still, therein lies the duplicity of White's nature. Unlike most men of evil who would appear to be nice while they were actually scheming you destruction, White would never even dream of being dishonest. He truly is the wry, witty bartender that pours you your drinks as he listens to your problems. He truly is the charming, polite man that speaks softly without a big stick in sight; and he truly is the vile creature that smiles at you sadly as he mutilates you and everybody that knows you. To him it is all business, and business is without equal. He will be he best friend you can have for the right price, and he can be the worst enemy you meet for even more. Forever and always though, he is the last one you can either suspect or pin for anything you claim he did to you.

Despite his duplicitous and contradictory nature white is an extremely stable-minded individual and as such is resistant to most lies, tricks, and illusory effects including mental attacks. He also keeps an open mind - literally. Anyone with telepathy or even mindspeak can hear what he's thinking with a bit of focus. He claims he has nothing to hide, and often times whatever does not go directly from mind to mouth is simple, meandering thoughts not really worth the listen.

As for his more vampiric tendencies, White shows many of the classic and obscure characteristics of vampires, although oddly enough they seem to be more personality quarks than they are actually related to his vampirism. He does not exactly display the vampiric arithmomania, or love of counting, although he often counts things when he is bored and is extremely good with numbers though he claims to hate the very mention of them. He also hates the smell of garlic and the sight of religious objects, but more because it reminds him of past attempts to ward him off with them than the actual objects themselves. Similarly, he is oddly opposed to breaking into or even entering people’s houses without some kind of permission, but once again this is explained as either a lack of interest in doing so or simply something he never finds the need to do.

As for his love of blood and his more contradictory traits, blood is almost second to whatever else he does. In his own words, he “wasn’t all that blood crazy,” Although he doesn’t mind being a vampire he often forgets or ignores the fact, even to the point of sometimes waking up in the morning only to remember that he’s not a morning person anymore. Because of this mentality, White seems to favor his more human vices - drinking, smoking, etc - more than his ones as a vampire. He still considers himself human in a way, and dislikes the “freaks” that surround him. He also despises coffins, claiming that they are too cramped and there is no real reason to have one when a bed will work just as well.

White was born in an unidentified area in rural Europe during the Dark Ages. Interestingly enough, he began his crime spree even as a young boy, working his way up from petty theft to grand theft after moving to a larger city landscape. He was also anti religious from a young age too, seeing as it was the Catholic Church at the time that was causing the Dark Ages.

Still, he had an appropriate sensibility of business. Underground translated Bible sales were always a good market, and he found the religious and desperate easily made friends of the trade. Despite his illegal actions, wherever he did business, people got what they wanted. That is, until the church found out. Looking for an escape in any underground economy he could find, White found out a fun fact about the human world: it wasn't the only one out there.

After learning of other sentient beings, he decided he wanted to become one. But how? He wasn't able to grow wings and turn into an immortal phoenix at will. It took him well into his thirties with research (old considering all the warfare,hygiene, illness, and general lack of longevity for the era), but White finally discovered one kind of mythical creature that could easily initiate a human into its kind: vampires.

He went into business with the right people, and got himself immortality to go - which turned out to be a good idea. The church, never one to give up, caught up with him and burned him at the stake for heresy.

...but the fire wasn't hot enough. A singed but "alive" White was not only free from persecution, but also able to avoid all those pesky little illnesses that came with Dark Age medicine. It turned out that his good call had saved him again - the Black Plague killed off most of his competitors, but left him in a virtual monopoly.

Now the natural and unnatural bane of all things holy, White decided to get out of any business pertaining to religion. He found out that the books he had been so willing to sell now gave him a nauseous feeling just to be around.

Many adventures ensued, not one of which would fit in here. He got knighted; he figured out how to be a good vampire; and eventually he made it to the new world, slaughtered everyone in a little town called Colleger, and settled in with a vampire following.

White is for the most part retired, his grand schemes all having been carried out at one point or another. He runs Sol in accordance with his and Crane's agreement, and provides a shoulder to lean on in the event that Crane is busy making himself depressed every once in a while.
