Ivan’s skin tone is a very light, pale shade, typical of many Russians. His hair color, in contrast, is a very dark shade of black, with his eyes being a very unique, dark orange-yellow. Ivan is rarely seen without his charming smile; however, there’s something about him that always seems to carry an undertone of seriousness. It is perhaps because of this that he also seems to give off an aura of authority, with which he’s easily able to command respect. Though he’d still take orders from a superior without question.

In his true form, Ivan has a very imposing, regal look to him. He stands a bit taller than an average lion, though a fair bit leaner. However, he has an impressive, muscular build. His sleek fur is a dark shade of red, with the fur of his mane being a dark black, similar to his hair when in human form. Despite his lion-esque face, one can also see a fair amount of human features. Namely his peculiar smile, which seems to be a cross between feline and human. A row of tough scales traces his spine down to his tail, which ends in a stinger similar to a scorpions. His horns and wings are similar to a dragons and both are the same shade of black as his mane. His eyes are completely white, devoid of both iris and pupil; however, he still maintains his excellent sight and night vision.

Ivan is quite soft spoken and unobtrusive, with a natural sense of chivalry and courtesy that most find rather charming. While he appears gracious and polite, it’s almost impossible to tell if he’s truly sincere. His years spent perfecting the art of espionage have turned him into a fine actor, as well as an extremely perceptive one. If you know something that he doesn’t, he has no problem charming or outsmarting you into talking. Perhaps by blackmailing you with evidence of your illegal behavior last Friday. Or maybe by speaking of your abusive father until you’re willing to rat out anyone just to make the pain stop. However, despite it all, it’s still rather hard to be upset with the guy for long. After all, he may be torturing you, but he does it with a smile. Despite his cool and calculating demeanor obtained through his years as a Russian spy, Ivan has always struggled with deep-seated morality issues and has yet to find a clear answer as to what is right and wrong. He has also been continuously looking for a sense of belonging, which he has never before felt. Though he is in no way cold or unemotional, and often he has even felt horribly about some of the missions that he’s carried out. However, he’s carried them out nonetheless, in a very cold, detached manner.

An independent military branch exits within the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation; unknown even to Russia’s president. Their main goal is to carefully observe the many mythical beasts that inhabit the country, though their true objectives in this are uncertain. While they had attempted to keep all of their operations hidden from the public eye, there were still those who managed to learn a bit more than they should have known. They were then quickly disposed of. That is, except for one. Because of his strange and powerful skills not normally associated with any other mythical creature, Ivan was considered to be worth more alive than dead. Although it also remains highly doubtful that they would have been able to kill him had they tried.

His skills were a perfect asset as he began his work as an SVR agent; working intelligence and espionage acts outside of the Russian Federation, his work even bringing him to the states on several occasions. He carried out these, at times, cruel and harsh missions without a second thought for many years. However, this all came to an abrupt end as Ivan was suddenly dismissed for unknown reasons. His life’s work having ended, Ivan fled to the United States. However, his motives for this still remain unclear.
