Monika is average height, around 5'6 or 5'7. Her physique is slim and feminine, but she has strong muscles hidden under her deceiving figure. Her skin is honey coloured, with a feather light smattering of freckles across her cheeks and nose. Her eyes are a golden brown, like the highlights in her brown hair. Her hair falls to her chin, and is feathery and slightly unruly. Her nails have a tendency to grow into sharp claw shapes, so Monika might often be found filing her nails, or chewing them in a savage fashion if she forgets to round them off.
Around her left ankle is an anklet that Monika will never remove. A pure gold chain threaded with small valuable gems of all colours and a small fastening. Monika claims the anklet was given to her by her now dead Aunt. The chain is indestructible. If ordered to remove it, Monika will place a invisibility spell on it.
Other Appearance:
Mythical form :-: Natural brown eyes with a hint of honey gold. As a Griffin, Monika stands around 5ft 5 when measured on her back between her wings. Her beak is a dark grey, as are her talons. The feathers on her head are of a chocolate colour, mixed with honey highlights that become more noticeable near her shoulders. Her fur is a dark golden colour, short and soft. Monika's wings are a mixture of dark honey and chocolate coloured feathers. Her wings are each almost twice her body span, and folded they cover her sides completely. The fur around her paws is curly, and darker than the rest of her body, and the pads are pink and brown.
On her hind left leg, almost hidden by her fur is a larger version of her anklet.
In her Griffin form, Monika will try to fly as often as she can, and will often search for things to hoard.

Trigger:
Extreme Jealousy or somebody snooping in her hoard. Monika tends to be quite controlled over her skin, knowing all sorts of quirky ways to combat a trigger from books, rumors and other mythicals.
Personality:
Monika likes to keep fit, but she is not a fidget or constantly on the move person. Monika can sit for ages brooding, learning or waiting, due to her hunting instincts. Monika can get too competitive for her own good sometimes, desperate not to be last in whatever she is doing. She can hold a grudge stubbornly if crossed, but she generally makes friends and keeps deep personal things a secret from them as to protect herself. Being a predator creature, she may chase down or spy on those she is interested in, and sometimes has to resist the urge for a good play fight.
Monika takes interest in gossip, rumors and knowing as much as she can, although she is careful when it comes to sharing what she knows or gossiping about somebody in school. Monika is a very receiving person, and a lot less of a giver.

Monika is very protective of her things, and tends to hide stuff in shoe boxes or under her bed like a hoard. She can be selfish and very wary about lending things out or sharing.
Character Biography:
Monika was hatched from an egg in her Griffin form by the powers of a witch, who placed an enchanted anklet on her as a hatchling. It was bespelled to never be removed and to tie Monika to the witch so she could never turn on her or her descendent's, or steal from their belongings even long after their deaths. She lived in the area of this witch and often interacted with her for several years before she was old enough to set out on her own. It was not until she was around 20 years old before she discovered her human form. Monika would blend into human villages to learn things, and was tutored by several magic users in many types of magic until she was around 118 years old. During this she built up a hoard and learned as many stories as she could. Her learning was extremely patchy, as such she does not know everything about the spells she learned, just how to do the spell, or the finished result and not the basics. Many tales, legends and stories she learned she heard were committed to subconscious memory, so she would not remember them until she heard them again, or heard something similar.
It was rumors of a prestigious school teaching magic in back classrooms that caught her interest, and she divided her time to find out about it. After she found it, she applied and soon got accepted. It was going to be a challenge - she had never lived with other mythical species, and only met the odd Griffin. In fact, she was more likely to get on with human magic users than anybody else.
