She definitely had more than a few issues that she was dealing with, but she seemed to be strong enough not to let them dominate the conversation or her life. That was a lot more than he could say for most people around here. In all honesty, he wouldn't have minded hearing more about her life, however that would have to wait for another time.
He moved into a sitting position beside her, smiling as she explained her current situation. Of course this place was very different than her previous home. He'd thought much the same thing when he came to this planet, though he could only assume that this was even more of a shock for her than it had been for him. True, he came from an entirely different planet, but for this girl it was as if she'd discovered a completely different planet within her own. It must have been quite a shock for her to discover that everything she knew was a lie.
Chuckling at her humorous last words, he noticed something that he hadn't thought about before.
”Oh, you stay at the inn?”
There really wasn't much else for a human to do unless they had the money to buy a house which he wasn't expecting from this girl. Of course, she could have tried to find a hotel of sorts in Haven where it would be undoubtedly safer, though her neighbors would be remaining in all their winged or hoofed glory. It made sense that she'd choose Sol over Haven, despite the added danger that it brought.
Still, he couldn't help but worry about her. It wasn't really safe for a human to be anywhere on this island. It wasn't a human's world any longer. Still, her being alone at an inn in a town of vampires who clearly preferred human blood didn't sound like a good idea no matter how you thought about it. That being said, in response, he merely blurted out the first thing that came to his mind.
”You know, you could stay with me if you want... I mean you could stay in my house. I... I'm not there too often, so you'd pretty much have the place to yourself. I figure it might be nicer than a hotel, so... If- if you want to, the offer's there. Just if you want...”
He could feel his face reddening, so he promptly looked away, shaking his head to snap himself out of the strange frame of mind he'd gotten himself into. So he was just trying to help the girl. So what? He did nice things sometimes. And what did it cost him? At present, his place wasn't being used much at all. Mostly it was just a dumping ground for whatever items he collected over time or from his victims. Speaking of which, he rarely ever brought women to his place. It seemed convenient in theory, but then he would have to clean up that mess every single time. Hotels or back alleys worked much better.
So she would be very comfortable at his place, as well as much safer... And- and she'd also begin to trust him again, which worked well with his, erm, other plans. Yeah, that was it. He had other plans with her. Sure.

"It's not so bad." She said in response to his question about her staying at the Inn.
She honestly didn't really have a place to go. She didn't have enough money to purchase a house, and she didn't really want to sleep outside under a patch of leaves or something like she assumed some of the freaks did. So she was stuck in the hotel, in the middle of a town of vampires, with neighbors who were potentially even more dangerous than the vampires were. But like she said, it really wasn't so bad. She kept a knife right beside her bed, and she always kept it on her when she was walking around alone. Sure, it wouldn't help her if she got attacked, but it felt like it would.
Then, he did something strange by offering her a place to stay. Immediately, her mind sent up the red flags. She was okay with sitting beside him and talking to him, but living with him? It made her think that her initial thoughts about him were correct, and that he was only interested in taking advantage of her. If she was living in his house, then he'd have the perfect opportunity to hurt her, and really, who would heed her cries for help?
Just as she was about to say something similar, she turned toward him, just as he turned away, though in the second before he did, she noticed something even stranger. Was he... blushing? Whatever words she was going to say, died in her throat. Blushing wasn't something that a cold blooded murderer did. Instead, he should be smiling and acting all charming in an attempt to seduce her. This alone made her think that wasn't quite his intention.
"Thank you... that would be great."
If anything, it'd be great to finally get out of that hotel. And he did say that it would be like she'd have the whole place to herself. Although, she didn't think she would really mind his company once in awhile.
