Jaedon knew that something was wrong. Neron's mind was jumping around...it was in confusion and then it was blank, and then more confusion, it was like he couldn't think straight. One thing was prevalent in his thoughts though, and she knew it all too well...Pain. Something in Neron did hurt. She reasoned with herself that it was the broken rib, but since when did Neron start flinching about a broken rib or even two? For it to be dominating his mind that much? He was so distant, like he was still hiding something from her and she didn't like it...
"Well, I'm glad that you aren't mad at me, but what is wrong? Don't think that you can hide it from me for long. You aren't acting like you are okay. You are acting like you are about to fall over. I won't jump out until I know that you are okay." She was being very defiant, knowing that if something really was wrong with Neron then he probably wouldn't have the mental capacity needed to kick her out of his head. She would stay there and bug him till he cracked. As she told him this she walked around to face him, making sure to go quickly so that she would at least get a side glance of him before he had any chance to turn around. She was focusing on his eyes, because they would tell her everything.
When Miriel turned to look at him, Damion was kinda shocked. He had been staring at her so intently that it had taken him a second to register that she had actually asked him a question. He gave a quiet little shocked outburst of "Oh!" as he blinked and his blue eyes got this fuzzy look to them. His cheeks colored slightly for a moment as his feelings of stupidity came through one side of his head and ran out the other. They were urged on by Miriel, who unknowingly made Damion want to stare just a little bit longer. Her eyes were so pretty...Damion could have stared at those gems all day without any complaints. She was so beautiful to him that it was starting to hurt...Again...Every time he thought about her he started to hurt. He just wanted to wrap her in a big bear hug and hold her like that for the rest of his life.
"Sorry...I was just thinking and then...Well..." he paused as he thought about how awkward it would be for him to say that he had been thinking about her. He ran his hand through his hair and stopped at the back of his head and let his head rest there. His shyness was urged by his thoughts of her, after all, it was just him talking to a real angel. Wouldn't you get shy too? "Well, never mind! I just got a little lost. Although, now that you bring it up, why did you say that you couldn't have helped Neron anyways?" His blue eyes focused on her shining with his child-like fondness and playfulness that overflowed to complete adoration.

A sinking feeling filled Neron as Jaedon started asking him more questions. She wasn't taking the bait and he was going to either come up with something else of fess up. He had a sneaky suspicion that it would be the latter. Trying to pick up the pieces of his mind he attempted to force her out, but it was a weak attempt. Jaedon probably only took a step back, if that. Just this little effort cause tunnel vision start to appear. She was coming around now and Neron closed his eyes, trying to avoid her gaze. "Jaedon...why do you always have to be so demanding? I am fine. I've experienced pain before I know how to deal it's its bite." "Yea but never have you had a bite this bad." The thought flitted through his mind, hopefully she didn't pick up on it. "But I know that you won't leave me be until I tell you. You want to know how I feel if I'm alright. What if I said no, how would that make you feel? You asked for it though, so I will deliver. If you don't want to see what I'm feeling than look away. I'm going to show you in 3...2...1" His eyes flicked up all the walls holding back his pain crumbled down like paper. His eyes locked on hers, green met green and his held no mercy.
Neron's eyes were serious, and dull. The life and spark that usually gave them the evil, mischief filled character he was known as. The pain that surrounded his body started wrecking havoc on his mind, tearing at it. Pain started seeping in to his face, his face grew white and his eyes grew more and more distant. The world was spinning once more and darkness slowly seeped through his vision. "No...no...go back go back." The thought was weak but it took all he could to force the pain back. It was like herding cats into a room and trying to keep them in with a thin wall of defense. His eyes dropped from his and a cough racked his body. It seemed to shake the strength right out of him. Covering his mouth the coughing fit was soon over but he remained bent, hands on his knees supporting himself. He was out of breath but he forced himself to pull himself upright. The whole spell caused his sides to ache and burn, not to mention pierce him with pain. Glancing down at his palm he saw some blood, but he quickly wiped it on his pants, glad that they were black, thus hiding the color. Jaedon wouldn't notice, he had kept the back of his hand facing her. "Now get out of my head." His voice was low and weak, but it still had steel in it. This time when he looked at her it would have been like looking at a steel wall.
Miriel smiled at Damion softly. He was so clueless sometimes, it was adorable to see him that way. It was nice to have someone who showed his emotions and didn't try to hide his affections. When he blushed she couldn't help but blush back. Then came his question, it caught her off guard and she winced slightly. "Because...well..." She sighed and twirled her hair around her finger as she looked down like a kid caught taking a cookie from the cookie jar. "I'm not going to get out of this one am I?" She looked up at him and smiled slightly, letting her hand drop to her side. "I healed Ares." Her hands flew up in defense, pal open wide at him pleading him to understand. "Not all of him, his wounds were to extensive for that. No...I could only heal one or two of his worst wounds. Enough for him to drag him off somewhere...I wonder what happened here...It's so strange. Neron isn't one to go against a friend. IT seemed like Neron and Jaedon really tore into him." Her green eyes searched his face and then bowed in shame, "Sorry..." She muttered.

The second that Jaedon saw Neron's eyes, she knew. Something was terribly wrong. And, as though to reaffirm what she thought, she caught a small bit of Neron arguing with himself. It was worse than he had ever had before...What did that mean? Last time he had been hurt really bad he had been near death, and Miriel had used her strength to heal Neron, but this time it was worse. Worries rushed through her mind and her eyes widened at him. He was so weak that he could hardly speak. Jaedon had been slightly taken aback by how he had spoken to her and looked at her, but she decided that it wouldn't do Neron any good to keep fighting with him. She was worried but she didn't know what to do. After he asked her to get out of his head she nodded in agreement and quickly left.
Even though she was scared for Neron, she was more focused on whether or not she should ask Miriel to help. She knew that Neron would get mad at her, and that he would do his best to get away from them before Miriel could help, but she was almost willing to take that chance. Neron wasn't strong enough to do much and that was obvious from the coughing fit that had taken place a little while ago. She also knew that the stress of Neron trying to run away could be fatal if he had certain kinds of injuries.
"Neron, I know you don't like the idea bu..." she paused for a moment expecting an instant outburst. She then finished quickly in order to prevent the coming rejection from happening sooner than it should. "But I think you need to get some help. You won't last long enough if you don't do something to fix yourself up, and it's quite obvious that you can't do it on your own." She wasn't going to back down, no matter what he said or did. She would pin him to the ground if she had to in order to get him to agree.
Damion had been expecting Miriel to say something along the lines of "I helped that kid Zak." She looked so guilty that is was almost funny. When she said that she had tried to heal Ares Damion looked at her with an expression of confusion and amusement.
"And you are abashedly admitting to that? Why?" He gave his head a little shake and then smiled down at her, "I don't blame you at all. I'm glad that you could clean up some of their mess." He looked over for a slight moment at the two darker figures. "I am fixing to go and do some cleaning of my own. I don't think Neron was mainly the one causing the fight. I think our feline friend has more of a hand in this than we would think. She has been acting strange of late." He started to walk towards Neron and Jaedon when he turned around and looked at Miriel with a big grin, "You coming, my dear?"

Jaedon had left his mind. Relief swept over him for a moment as he let some of the pain seep through his barrier. Jaedon now knew his pain, since no one else could read minds, he didn't have to hide it as much. This relief didn't last for long and pain started seeping in once more. How could this have happened? How could he have gotten hurt from just fighting Ares. Because he's bloody lucky and you had it coming to you eventually. It wasn't just his fresh wounds that hurt, but also the still festering wound that Jaedon had given him a week or two ago. The black magic was almost out so healing was starting to take place. But Black magic tends to make healing a painful process. Thus even if you do survive the attack you are tortured.
"Neron, I know you don't like this idea bu..."
Those words only caused more dread in his heart. She wouldn't...would she? Fire came to his eyes as his fists closed slightly. "No" His voice was remarkably strong. "I'm fine." Like she is going to believe that. "The last thing that I want is someone mothering me like I'm a helpless baby. Don't you go telling on me to Miriel either, or anyone else or I will never forgive you. I'm a grown man Jaedon. I can take care of myself." HIs eyes glared at her, "So just leave me alone Jaedon." His voice quieted, "Just leave me alone." His stance hand changed to feet braced, fists balled, face livid, and back straight. No matter how much it hurt him he would fight her if she tried to drag him along to help.
Miriel glanced up at his face and saw that instead of disappointment and anger there was only a smile. Then his words washed over her fears like a soothing balm, "You aren't mad me?" She smiled back at him and then sighed with relief. When he mentioned cleaning up a mess she let her eyes drift towards the two shadowy figures. The discussion they were having had been pretty docile but now...it had changed for the worse. Neron had his fists balled and an angry expression spread across his face. Since she had been observing this she didn't see Damion start to head off, so when he called to her she blinked for a moment, shifted her gaze from the couple to his figure. "Of course! " She blushed slightly in embarrassment and soon was by his side. "I wonder what it is this time."

Jaedon knew he was going to answer like that, but for some reason it still enraged her. He was so arrogant sometimes that it just bit into her. She knew that she was the same but at least she hid it until the last moment. She wasn't cocky enough to carry it around openly. The second that he opened his mouth she rolled her eyes at him and gave an aggravated sigh.
"Neron, I really love you but sometimes I just want to wring your neck until you are on the brink of death." she muttered more to herself than to him. Then a little louder she said, "Oh yes, Neron, I can see that you are very grown up. However, you're obviously not old enough to realize that you can't do everything on your own. Even grown ups need help sometimes. Can you blame me for wanting to take care of you? Can you blame me for being just a little bit worried?" Jaedon's voice got a little louder and a little more stressed with every added sentence. "I can't leave you alone because I am scared of what would happen if I did."
He was surprised that she actually thought he would get amd at her. It would take a lot to make him mad at her. "Now Miriel, have you ever known me to be one to get angry very easily?" He shook his head and smiled.
When he turned to Jaedon and Neron there was a battle about ready to start. They were angry at each other again. However, from the way that Neron was behaving it wasn't his usual temper and Damion was glad of that. They were both acting weird and he was starting to worry that something was really wrong. Jaedon looked worried and halfway panicked like she knew something the rest of them didn't. He stopped and listened for a moment, ensuring that Miriel stopped as well. It was time to figure out what they were arguing about and how it coincided with what they had done to Ares. His gaze for the first time in a long time was harsh and icy, on the brink of white.

Neron narrowed his eyes more. His body ached to be in his dragon form, but he knew the shift would not only make things worse, on many levels. "That's nice to know Jaedon." He smirked slightly. He was starting to resort back to sarcasm as he was getting riled up. "I'm old enough Jaedon. I'm older than you. Older than you could ever hope to be. Age tends to make you learn that you don't need help and if I can't do it on my own than it's my problem, not others." This caused a thought to flit past. He would out last her, one day they would part ways and he would have to journey through life alone. That word scared him, though he would never admit it. It was such a lonely, desolate word. Perhaps he would die first, a comforting thought. A feeling of insecurity flooded his senses and his gaze shifted from her to the pair who were approaching. "Stop worrying Jaedon, it's never helped and it's only hurt those around me more. You might want to stop caring as well." HIs mind was talking now, not his heart. IN fact he was really talking to himself now, though it could be mistranslated to talking to her. "Yes, if you had stopped caring this whole mess with Ares could have been prevented, but your bloody heart had to get in the way." By the time he finished the sentence Miriel and Damion had stopped. He wouldn't be surprised if they heard that last sentence. In fact he didn't care if they did. "Oh look who arrived, the lovebirds and it looks like the white one is angry."
Miriel stopped by Damion. It was cold around him, a sure sign of his danger. But what really worried her were those two. What shocked her the most was what Neron had just said. It was said in a harsh and demeaning tone. What was going on. Her green eyes shifted to Jaedon and what she saw caused her head to tilt slightly. Jaedon was...worried for NEron? Miriel blinked a couple times in shock. IT seemed like just yesterday the two of them were battling each other over every word, but now she was worried? Though she doubted that would last long, especially after what Neron had just said. The decreasing temperature made her change her gaze to Damion. Oh, no...

Jaedon knew that Neron would never give way in this kind of argument. Stuck up, arrogant, childish man. They always have to keep their pride. Her thoughts were in a rage as she tried to come up with a way of making him submit to being a patient. Short of punching him straight in the ribs, she couldn't come up with anything. It was going to be a hopeless pursuit at she had almost determined to leave it alone until he said, "You might want to stop caring as well." Why would he say something like that. What on earth could have driven him to say such a hurtful thing? He should've known by now that she couldn't ever stop caring. It would be like asking someone to cut their heart out of their chest and then continue to live.
She narrowed her eyes at him and balled her hands into fists as she tried her best to suppress her angry response, but she failed. "I glad that you find it easy to detach yourself from the rest of the world and life, but some of us are serious when we say we care. That isn't something you just magically push out of your head, Neron. I would hope that you would know that by now." She stopped and noticed that Damion and Miriel were standing behind them. Oh great...the peace makers decided to come in and rip the little tousle up.
When Damion heard the last part of Neron's conversation with Jaedon and her response to it he knew exactly what was going on. His temperature had decreased, it was true, but it wouldn't get any worse. His icy eyes were glaring at the pair, not focusing on one or the other.
"Well, Neron, you are one to be talking about 'lovebirds' seeing as how you have quite the little attachment of your own. What I find ridiculous is that both of you are trying so hard to suppress it. Why don't you both admit that you are crazy about each other, kiss, make up and put off all ill feelings for the next lovers quarrel." He was slightly annoyed more than anything. Here they were, arguing about some ridiculous little disagreement while Ares was out trying to recover from the pain they inflicted all on his own. Could these two get anymore self-centered? "I think it would be wise if you both ran off as fast as you could to find Ares and make sure he is alright, seeing as how you are both responsible. Am I right? You both had a hand it that so stop annoying me and go find him." He wasn't being very forgiving but he felt perfectly fine with that. These two infants deserved it.

Neron looked at Jaedon with wide eyes as she started her tangent. What was she talking about? He never asked her to stop caring he had been- It was then that he realized what he had done. He had spoken his thoughts to himself aloud and she had mistaken them as words meant for her. Just my luck. He groaned in disgust out loud, which also could have been taken as being meant for her. He as about to try and clear things up when Damion approached.
“You don't know or understand what you speak of Damion. It's not a lovers quarrel...it's a misunderstand-”. A racking cough burst stopped him in mid-sentence and he turned away from them all, grasping his sides in agony. He couldn’t help but let a little groan pass his lips, this time one laced with pain. He recovered quickly, his stoic mask slipping over his face.
Not turning to face them when Damion spoke of finding Ares Neron just shrugged, which caused him to wince. “Yeah, I'll make sure that bloody lion is OK. It's not like he tried to kill both of us just because of Jaedon. Why don't you ask her about it while I waltz off and follow the trail of blood to find him? It'll be just like following the yellow brick road.” He turned to them with an irritated face, “You can call me Dorthy and if that one.” He pointed to Jaedon, “Follows me then she will be Todo.” He turned on his heel and stalked away. “Off to the stupid wizard who needs a heart transplant and a punch in the face.” He had once read that story in a big library, he found it useless and his favorite character had been the Wicked Witch of the West who died in the end. Once again, useless story if the best character died.
His figure limped off in a stiff manner, almost like an old man who had lost his cane who was to old to pick it up and to proud to even try. At first he started following the red droplets that were splashed here and there. Making it down to the pool of blood he circled around until he found a drop of blood leading away, then another starting about every inch then growing to be a foot and then five apart. It was then he stopped caring and he stopped about ten feet away from the next clue. He didn't care about it any more and he was starting to get tunnel vision. Luckily he had made it to some type of wall and he leaned against it wearily. His eyes closed and he grasped his side. Now the pain was starting to grow, it was no longer just his sides and shoulders, but back, legs, and arms. “ I feel warm...so warm...You shouldn't be walking stupid lizard...you shouldn't even be standing. So why are you?” He shook his head, clearing these thoughts. “Because I must end this...I must.” Yet he didn't move, not and inch. Without someone by his side pushing him onward he wanted to just collapse and sleep. Yes sleep, that would be nice and no one would care. So what if he died? “If you die now Jaedon would be lost without out. She would probably kill herself. Also you have just begun to experience real love. Would you give up on life so soon when things are just starting to turn around?” He sighed, “No...now I won't” Yet he still didn't move. There was still a part of him hoping that Jaedon would follow, yet he dreaded her presence with Ares. Though he didn't want to admit it, he wanted her near him. She gave him strength to continue, and the will to live. Miriel thought it was a good idea for these two to go and try to make amends, but it was Neron's remark that made her raise her eyes brow in many ways. First, what did he mean to ask Jaedon? Had this whole thing started with her? Miriel fixed a questioning glance on Jaedon, it had a hint of disappointment to it. Second how did Neron know about the Wizard of Oz? This was the most baffling thing of all. When had Neron read that? Letting her gaze drift back to Neron's now fading figure spoke. “Jaedon, I have no idea what has happened or why you are quarreling with him, but I believe you may want to follow him. If you are still angry, at least do it for me.” He eyes settled on Jaedon once more. “You know more than the rest of us how he acts when he is hurt or upset, he deflects his hurt and hurts others. Please forgive him or address what just happened later. Right now he needs you. Hard as that may be to believe. Plus I believe he is going mad.”

Damion raised an eyebrow as Neron made a desperate recovery from his coughing fit. He was surprised that Neron hadn't fallen over yet, but he wasn't going to back down on his demand that they find Ares. His eyes just watched Neron and Jaedon, who had turned away from Neron, obviously trying to calm herself down. She was so angry with him that she couldn't even look at him without getting wanting to hit him. Her eyes were on the brink of dying themselves black.
Damion was surprised when Neron gave his remark about finding Ares. He turned to Jaedon with a look of disappointment. He had thought that she was getting over this. "Jaedon, what is he talking about?" No answer came. "Jaedon!" Damion was not wanting to make her get angry, but he found that he himself was getting angry because of her.
Jaedon didn't start listening to anything until she heard Miriel. Miriel was always the one that she would listen to. She was the voice that Jaedon trusted the most because she understood. She was still angry at Neron, but she was also not going to let him go off and find Ares by himself. That would be like delivering to the grim reaper himself. She let Miriel finish talking and then let out a sigh. Turning around she took off in a run to catch up with Neron.
"I love how she neglected to answer my question." Damion muttered to Miriel. "I thought she was done being a pain in the butt, but I guess not. I don't think either of them will get rid of that. So annoying."
Jaedon followed the trail of blood and it wasn't long before she found Neron. He didn't look good. Instantly she felt her eyes start to turn black. She knew her face was pale and she knew that Neron would see that she was angry so she stopped before reaching him, sure that he wouldn't have heard her. She forced herself to calm down and reason that he had just been talking without thinking. Guys did that all the time and she knew it, so she wasn't going to let it bother her anymore. After her self lecture she began her approach. She heard him talking to himself. It sounded like he was having an argument. He sounded like he had some just resolved to do something, convincing himself it was the right thing to do. She sighed inwardly as she walked up beside him, putting her hand gently over the one that was holding his side. She wasn't angry anymore. Somehow seeing him like this had magically made her anger disappear.
"Come on, stupid lizard. You haven't finished yet." she couldn't really muster a smile but it was obvious she wasn't mad, and she certainly wasn't trying to start anything.

Neron's eyelashes veiled his eyes for a bit. She wasn't coming, who was she kidding. Obviously she thought he was a jerk or perhaps thought he was a word that is a bit stronger. Whatever it was she wasn't going to help his sorry little self. Just when he was going to contemplate what to do next a warm hand clasped his. "Jaedon?" His eyes opened and shifted in her direction without his face moving. "You came." Sweat beaded on his forehead beneath his bangs and his face showed some color. His voice was quiet and sweet and a slight smile played on his lips. This smile soon grew sour and twisted into a smirk. "I'm glad you followed me Toto. I need you to sniff out the trail ahead. I seem to have lost the way." He straightened himself up and faced her. When he did so his eyebrows drew together in pain and he wavered for a moment. Steadying himself by grasping the rock he stood there for a moment.
"The splotches of blood have grown farther apart, probably because he managed to get up into the air." He glanced at her with a wearied look, " How clumsy of you to forget to paralyze his wings." He looked away again and let his eyes closed slightly. " So he technically could be anywhere. Lucky for us, there is a collection of rocks nearby and it seems like the most logical area to head would be there. Why don't you double check for me before we traverse further. Don't worry about leaving me. I don't think I can exactly run away."
Miriel rested her hand on Damion's shoulder as a smile flickered on her lips. "Now, now, don't pout. It's her nature so it makes her a lovable pain in the butt. Without her none of us would have become friends. Imagine that." She turned her eyes to Damion. "Without those two the two of use probably never would have meet, and if we did, we wouldn't be as close as we are now." She sighed. "Let's just hope that those two can at least find some common ground. Then peace may be able to reign and hopefully Neron will be able to mind his manners so that Jaedon doesn't kill him." She smiled at Damion. "So what are we going to do?" She sighed.

She was glad that he wasn't being a pain anymore. He was actually showing some manners. It was nice. "Of course I came, silly. Although, if you had called me a dog under any other circumstances I think I would leave you in worse shape than you're in now." She started out sweet and then changed to slightly menacing.
As she watched him scramble to stay upright she said, "Well, you are gonna be about as good as useless in this little hunt as far as bron goes, although, that is usual." She noticed that Neron was right, he had probably flown to those rocks. "Alright Sherlock, sit tight. I'll be back in a second." Before he could have said anything else to her she took off in a jog, looking for droplets of blood and Ares' pelt or red hair. She knew she was gonna find him soon because the blood droplets were still around, although quite small, she could smell them. Thanks to her feline senses she was better at hunting things than most. Ares was close. When she found him she would go back and get Neron, so long as he didn't see her first.
"But I want to pout. Wallowing in self pity is a bore that I hardly ever get to enjoy," Damion sounded like a child whining to its mother. He then let out a big sigh and grinned at Miriel. "Yeah, I know. It's just annoying how that is her excuse. Why can't I have any excuses?" he was obviously joking now. "Although, I bet I know something about the coming peace that you don't..." he smiled sheepishly and then continued, "I happen to know that peace is coming sooner than we think. In fact, I have it on really good authority that our two trouble makers will become quite the passionate couple." He hadn't really leaked it to anyone, but on one of the occasions he had seen Neron sliding a note under Jaedon's door. He hadn't really thought it was anything to be worried about or take note of, but boy was he wrong. He had thought that it was weird and that there was something going on between the two but after the argument that he had just seen, it was obvious that Neron wasn't as indifferent as he might have pretended to be. When she asked what they were going to do he looked up at the sky as said, "Well, nothing could be made enjoyable if we used our imaginations."

"I will keep that noted, at least until I am strong enough to fight back. As for being useless, why should you work hard when others do the work for you?" When he watched her scamper off he leaned back against the rock. Exhaustion was starting to wash over him like a tsunami. Hopefully she would find him. Soon. He sighed, hating this crippling pain. He felt useless, just like she said he was. He shut his eyes and rested all of his weight on the rocks beside him. Nausea suddenly leap upon him and he had to turn quickly to the side in order to throw up by a nearby rock. This caused him to collapse on all fours in pain and let out a quiet groan. His eyes clenched shut to stop the world from spinning. Neron's eyes were glistening with tears, but not one fell on his face. Luckily Jaedon wasn't here to see this. Never had he felt so degraded in his life. When the nausea had passed he still stayed in the position for a moment, dreading putting strain on his ribs to get up.
Knowing he couldn't stay this way forever, especially with Jaedon returning, he struggled up, groping on the rocks about him to stand. It was a long process for every second was filled with pain. Neron pushed through in the end, he knew how to push through pain, even though there was something different this time but he couldn't put his finger on it.
Neron, when resuming the upright position, stared down at where he had gotten sick. With a wrinkled nose he scuffed some dirt over it. This wouldn't work. HE didn't want Jaedon to worry more about him than she was, and this was not a comforting sign. So he decided to do the only thing he could, walk away. He shuffled slowly in the direction she had gone.
Ares had been crouching among the stones, licking his wounds. The taste of his own blood made him want to throw up. "Stupid panther. That assassin is going to pay one day... mark my words." Even though he felt better from Miriel's healing, he still had many wounds and they were still bleeding. IT was then that her scent wafted to his senses. "She's here." Those blue eyes which had once been so clear and gentle were kindled with a blazing fury. They looked almost crazed and wild. Being as silent as he could with a limp he stalked by a rock just in time to see her. Leaping up on the stone he glared down on her. "Ah, so the assassin returns eh? I see you don't have your so called lover by you. What a shame. Did he finally come to his senses and realize that he doesn't love you, or did he perish underneath that pile of stone?" He smirked through his large fangs at her. "Believe me I hope the former. Hopefully he got some sense knocked into that thick skull of his."
"Well then you may enjoy it for a little longer and then I will snap you out of it." She laughed at his voice. He sometimes was such like a little kid, it was funny to see him like that. When Damion mentioned something about peace Miriel eyed him questioningly. "Oh you do?" She put her hands on her hips and raised an eyebrow, "Do tell my dear! How did you come across this? They still seem like they fight to much to be a true couple. How do you know?"
Miriel laughed at his response about imagination. "Well that is something I don't have a shortage of. My dad would always get mad at me for daydreaming." She glanced down, "Good old dad." HEr eyes snapped back up with a shining quality to them. Looking at his face looking at the heavens she laughed again. "Shall we look at the clouds for shapes?" She tilted her head upward. " You know that cloud right there looks like a rabbit." She pointed towards a cloud.

Jaedon heard Ares before she saw him. She had heard him jump up on the stone and as he began to talk she whirled around to face him. Rethinking her hasty actions she put her hands up in a sign of friendship, "I am not here to make enemies. Ares. I've got enough of those as is. Don't make an enemy of me, please. Come back with us and we can get you and Neron fixed up." She hoped that he would listen because he looked just as riled up as he had been earlier. She wished that Neron was here to talk with Ares instead of her. Neron would be the one Ares would listen to if he was going to listen at all. "I don't care if you hate me. That is alright. Just don't throw Neron's friendship away because of me. Your hatred of me should stay with me, not overflow to him." As she spoke she was trying to find Neron's mind. Come on, where are you...Why can't I find you... She started using her power in overtime. It was hard to focus with her eyes opened, but she eventually found her way. It was going to be faint, but she called out, Neron...Here...Ares her message came in bits and pieces. She was calling him to her. She had a power that allowed her to manipulate the actions of others and she was using it now.
"That sounds like a splendid idea." Damion smiled down at Miriel. She was always so sunny. "Although, you know the shapes depend on the mind of the person that is looking. They're like ink blots. From your suggestion of that cloud being a rabbit, you obviously like things that are generally taken as cute." He then pointed at the same cloud and said, "That is clearly a snail."

Ares leaped down from he rock with a heavy thud. It was hard to catch youself on injured paws. “Playing innocent are we? I don't trust people who nearly killed me. As for making enemies, you should have stopped that long ago if you wanted to have friendship. I don't need any fixing up either, I'm fine just the way I am and I can take care of myself, especially after Miriel helped heal me.” He smiled and his eyes narrowed in her direction. She seemed to be doing something and was distracted. He wouldn't attack first, it wasn't his way. So he continued to pace around her for a moment. Pausing for a bit he looked her up an down like a piece of meat. “What is it about him that you like him so much? How do you even know that he likes you back? Let me tell you his signs don't always mean what they seem. Complexity is something Neron excels at and he can catch you off guard. Also if I didn't throw away his friendship then I would giving up my standards. He knows this and if he wants my friendship, let's just say he will know what to do next.” An evil grin came to his face as he looked at her. “So tell me, dear, why has that witch heart gone for Neron?”
Neron paused for a moment as he heard Jaedon's words echo in his mind.[/b]” Looking about him for a moment, looking for her, he realized that the words had come in his mind. “You are losing it old boy.” His head was getting filled with a strange fog, it was starting to get hard to think clearly. He felt a draw towards the area he had pointed out. So Ares was there was he? Neron stood and looked at the rocks in distress. He didn't want to face Ares like this. Every time the two had seen each other recently it had been a battle. Neron couldn't turn against Jaedon, she meant to much to him now, yet to lose Ares's friendship. Neron's eyes clouded with indecision. Jaedon's calling was growing a bit more powerful over his mind and he felt himself being pulled in the direction she was. His mind was very open right now, if Jaedon had been in a bad mood she could have easily ripped it apart. So his dragging steps carried him closer to the rocks, but he was still a good ways away and moving slowly.
Miriel glanced at Damion with an “oh really” look on her face. “A snail you say? Obviously your eyesight is failing you. Put using your tactic your see a snail because it is slow and slimy” Her eyes glinted with mischief, “Can't you see those two ears and the round figure. Please.” Holding up her finger in protest if he tried to interrupt her. “But to keep peace let's pick another one.” Scanning the sky she looked for another cloud. “Look there, that one looks like a flower. Surely you can see that!” Her finger pointed at the cloud she was talking about
Cecily was about to go insane. Everything was going well, there was drama, intensity, and a good fight, but now...now they were discussing shapes of clouds? How were their heads filled with so much air? Clouds were clouds and to try to say that they looked like something was ridiculous. It was like trying to call a tomato and a strawberry the same because bother were red. Unable to let this conversation continue any farther she rose from her little hideout and flounced down towards them. Her footfall was silent and soon she was by their side. “You two are disgusting. Surely there are more important things to be doing besides talking about the clouds. You two can be so bored with each other to be discussing that. IF you are, you might as well give up on farther relationship.” Cecily's hair shone like liquid silver down her back and her eyes were viewing the couple with annoyance.

At least that is something that we have in common... Jaedon thought to herself as she listened to Ares. Of course you don't trust someone a lot if they just tried to to kill you. She hadn't trusted him after her had knocked her off that cliff. When he mentioned her knowing how Neron liked her back she had a few thoughts run through her head. The first was him kissing her. Then the thought of the conversation they had just had. One of those thoughts brought reassurance, but the other brought doubt. She shook it from her mind.
"If your standards require something that is wrong then they are wrong," she looked to the ground as she spoke. "I am glad that Neron holds himself to higher standards than yours." Inwardly she couldn't help but admit that his standards were higher in everything except for women. He deserved someone better than her. Maybe Neron had been right when he said that she should stop caring. If she pulled away from him, he would be much better off.
She was about to get angry at Ares asking his question but she figured that it was time for her to admit the truth, not only to herself, but to him as well. "To tell you the truth, I don't really know why. However, Neron was the person to show me affection when I needed it the most. Even though we have some trouble getting along at times, we know each other better after each argument," she sighed inwardly. He really was the one that had saved her. If you don't have to work for it, then it probably isn't real. That's how it is with everything, even love. She wanted Neron right now...she needed him.
"Hey, for having lived a couple hundred years I think my eyesight is doing pretty good. As to the slimy personality you refer to, I think that is your inner thoughts convincing you of the worst." When she pointed to the next cloud and said it was a flower he rolled his eyes, hoping that she wouldn't see. She was so strange..."Yes Miriel, that looks like a flower," he was lying. It looked like a smiley face to him, but he decided that he wouldn't burst her bubble. She probably could have been able to tell that he was lying if she had been paying attention to his tone of voice.
Damion almost cringed when he heard Cecily's voice. That was the third or fourth time that she had done that to them and it was getting kind of annoying. He rolled his eyes again, but this time he wasn't playing.
"I should think that whatever we choose to do with our time would be our own choice and not someone else's. And I am not bored with Miriel's company. She is the only person that would even think about looking at the clouds with me, so why miss out on the opportunity," he wasn't being rude, he just sounded a little annoyed.
