Jaedon found the back and forth banter between Tarian and Cecily more than slightly amusing. While it didn't bring a smile to her face, she really couldn't help but feel a little more relaxed. They sounded like an old married couple, debating over who had the better chance of winning bingo. She had never really imagined that Cecily would have someone like that, but then again, Tarian's charms were fairly intoxicating to the the plain mind and obviously to the strange one as well. However, amidst their conversation, it did seem that Tarian had a special something that Cecily wanted and he had obviously given it to her before. Jaedon wondered for a moment what it might have been, but then she turned her attention to what Cecily was saying.
For some reason, as Cecily spoke, the reality of Cecily's point hit her hard. Why hadn't she thought of that? She was sure there was some logical reason that could explain why her mind had simply not allowed her to go there, but she wasn't going to worry about that right now. Perhaps if she could just get close enough to him, she might could get through to the other side of Neron.
Jaedon's tears had stopped and she looked at Cecily, "No, he hasn't. As a matter of fact, he can barely muster my pet names either. It's ridiculous because Neron had a complete repertoire of silly little nick names for me that he liked better than my real name usually and for some reason he can hardly utter them now."

"You have pet names?" Cecily was about to continue on this until a glare from Tarian stopped her. "But it is just as I thought. If you didn't have any power then he would be saying your name left and right. The fractures will lead you to the crack, which leads to the whole, which will give you the proper place to push. If just speaking your name or pet names could lead to a strengthening of his good side then what do you think would help him more . If you could get him to say your name perhaps it would help, though I think he would be strengthening himself in this area. You may need to do something more. Something that would burst through before he could cover over it or repair the damage." Cecily's eyes were glittering even brighter.
Tarian nodded with what Cecily was saying and he watched her with admiration. "Like a kiss?"
Cecily nodded, "Precisely.'
Tarian muttered under his breath, "Brilliant, simply brilliant."

"Yes, unfortunately, it is impossible to make someone stop calling you something that they know peeves you. Especially if it is Neron." Jaedon sighed. He did have a nasty habit of doing things specifically to annoy her, but those were the lovable things that you had to an acquire a taste for. After all, Neron wouldn't be Neron, bad side or no, if he weren't annoying and sarcastic.
When Jaedon heard the plot, she almost laughed. Granted, it was obviously true that she did hold a power over Neron that he feared, she had trouble with this whole little scheme. How in the world was she going to get a kiss off on Neron? He was as sly as she was, if not more so in this kind of personality. He was practically impervious to surprises.
"So let me get this straight," Jaedon began, "you want me to go and kiss my homicidal, dragon boy friend in the hopes that I can cage the proverbial Mr. Hyde, who, if I fail, will more than likely completely annihilate me?" She gave them an emotionless look that told them they were neither crazy nor brilliant, however, her voice was full of sarcasm. But, before they would have been able to say anything, she smirked and said, "I guess if you are coming to my funeral in a few days, you'll know who to blame. Just don't put flowers on the grave. I always thought that was a moronic tradition."

Cecily raised an eyebrow and smirked, "I'm sure he has his little reasons for this names, even if they annoy you." She smiled, "He knows what he is doing, in a weird way." Then looking at Jaedon with a sly smile she continued, "If you think of it that way, then yes. I do. Or you could see if his good side wins out after all. Plus I think you would rather die knowing that you tried your best then to live and see him die. Am I right?"
Tarian nodded. "I think, Jaedon, that you need to think about it and only use this as your last chance. Perhaps you will come up with something else that is better."
"I doubt it." Cecily interjected, "Believe me, this will work. Believe me." She leaned forward, "I like to gamble, and I never lose." She shrugged "But do whatever you want. If you need any more.. tea just let me know."
Tarian shook his head at Cecily, "Jaedon if there is anything else we can help with... If not then the best of luck to you."

Jaedon looked at Cecily and gave her a strange look, one that was borderline challenging, and border line amused. "I never said that you were wrong. I simply left marginal room for error. No one can be perfect at one thing all of the time. Might as well cover for the mistakes you are bound to make with other plans and other abilities." It was Jaedon's assassin side talking, but she knew that it was the one part of the assassins rules that was true in all of life. She would not allow herself to expect the best, she would only allow herself to expect the absolute worst, plan for it, and then be pleasantly surprised by anything that went better than expected. Jaedon smiled at both of them and then rose from her seat. Straightening her shirt out, she turned to head for the door. "Thank you for the encouragement and the 'brilliant' idea. I will have to tell you how it works out." She then gave them another strange smile, but this one seemed a little darker than the last, "Oh and thanks also for the tea. It's amazing how certain things you intake can make you do things you never would have thought you would do... Kind of like alcohol." She had obviously figured out that the tea had either been spiked with something, or that it had some very strange natural properties. With that said, she turned and walked out of the door. Perhaps she would actually be able to sleep tonight... The End [/i][/b]
