Jaedon listened to the banter, but her attention was caught when Neron used her usual nickname to refer to Cecily. She raised an eyebrow, then looked at Neron. She hated to admit that the little green monster of jealousy was biting at her heels, but it was true nonetheless. She was very fond of that name, since it was the first name that he had given to her, even though it had not been so affectionately. She liked it much better than "stalker".
She decided to raise her beef with Neron in a slightly private manner, "Using that name liberally now are we? You just seem to habitually surround yourself with witches."
Damion was sad to hear that Cecily was kicking the others out, but in a way he was also relieved. It was tiring to try and hold in his pain. He was tired and he longed for sleep. However, he hoped that when he woke up, he would have another chance to see Miriel. He wanted to tell her how sorry he was since he hadn't gotten the chance to do so the day before. He would just have to be patient.
Damion gave a slight smile in Cecily's direction, "Oh, I promise that I am a much better patient than Neron. He just has a talent for ruining things, doesn't he?" Everything was spoken in good humor. He knew that Neron was slowly getting better, but he also knew that the destructive, mischievous side of Neron would never die.

Neron glanced at Jaedon when he heard her in his head. "A bit sensitive aren't you? If I didn't know better I think you were growing fond of that name." He turned toward her, keeping eye contact, "So tell me, little witch, does it bother you that I have found another person worthy of the word?" -
Cecily nodded, "That he does." She leaned close and whispered to him so only he could hear, "Between you and me I give him a little... suggestion in his food to tell him to be quiet. Sleeps like a babe." Then leaning back she finished in a normal voice, " I'm sure you will be a good patient, but we will see." She smiled at him before continuing. "I think I'm going to get you some food first, then we will work on your bandages. I may have a little something that will bring a cooling effect. Also perhaps I could whip up some drink for you with mint. It's such a cooling herb that refreshes and revitalizes your senses. " She stood up. "If you want anything just let me know, I'll see if I see fit to honor your request." Standing up to head out and get food she glared at Neron and Jaedon, who were conversing privately in some manner. She could tell by the way Neron was looking at her. Then with a huff she waltzed outside, grabbed the bowl and pot and carried it in. A savory scent filled the air as she came it. There was a richness to it, and a pureness. Cecily, knowing herbs and what they did was a master chef, once of her lesser known talents. Taking Damion's bowl she took a spoon and headed to his side. Tarian walked over and grabbed a small table and carried it to her side. Setting the bowl down on the table she helped Damion lift his head. "This should be better than the last thing you ate, though sorry for the temperature If I had ice I would cool it down, but I am completely out." She actually sounded sorry as she lifted the broth to his lips. To anyone else the broth wasn't hot at all, in fact it was a bit below room temperature, even in the cool area but Damion would probably think it on the warmer side of things, especially in his condition.

Jaedon wanted to yell at Neron that he was being a jerk, but she knew that it would do no good, for herself or for Damion. In fact, it would probably jsut make things worse in every way. She decided that Neron would get no satisfaction from her. He was playing with her now and she knew it. Withdrawing from his mind, she completely ignored him. She turned around, giving Damion a warm smile before she turned and walked out, not even casting a second glance at Neron. She was so mad she had been on the brink of slapping him.
When Jaedon was gone, Damion couldn't help but remark, "Neron, I think she is getting softer, although the way that she just treated you seemed to be going back to the harsh side."
He couldn't laugh at what Miriel said but he did smile. Yes, that would be a way of making Neron do what you wanted him to. Cecily was sneaky enough to manipulate him, but then again, she wouldn't have to be evil unless you were just as evil a patient.
"Mint sounds lovely," he said as Cecily returned with his food, whatever it might be.
As the soup slid down his throat, Damion felt as though it were burning slightly, but he knew that it was just his senses being out of whack. He could tell when it got to his stomach though, because it felt like a rock landing there. His stomach was empty and he could tell, but the worst thing was that he couldn't prevent feeling like he was going to throw up. He knew that he needed food, but the burning substance seemed to want to come right back out.
After the first few spoonfuls, Damion had to hold it down, forcing himself to take just one more and then one more, but it eventually became too much. He really would throw up if he had anymore.
"Cecily, I can't-," he coughed a bit and then tried again, "I can't eat any more." He didn't know what was wrong, but he as guessing that the sudden intake of any kind of food, plus the temperature of that food was probably mixing together and making him sick.

Cecily was glad that Jaedon had left, and she sighed with relief. One less person, two more to do. She felt though that she would enjoy having Damion around, he reminded her of Tarian. No doubt the two of them would become friends, and maybe Tarian would stick around a bit more. "Then I will have to get you some mint. Perhaps some sort of tea or something would be good." She looked down at him as he ate. She was actually surprised by how much he had eaten, though she could tell he was struggling to for that down. When he tried again she pulled the spoon away. "Well you did better than Neron over there. He barely could stand one." Putting the spoon down she set it to the side.
-
Neron had watched Jaedon with curiosity as she left. He felt the slightest pain of regret. He wanted her back, but he knew to just let her leave, Cecily would push her out if she didn't leave herself. So to get his mind on something else he sauntered over to the food and viewed the bowls. Picking one he ate it quickly as Cecily fed Damion, then shuffled over to his bed. "Cecily, I don't know if it is your cooking or what, but every time I eat... I makes me relax. All I want to do is go to sleep Sometimes I think you are drugging..." He didn't finish.
-
Cecily winked at Damion. and whispered, "Both bowls were drugged. I already ate earlier. I like my food hot." Then she looked back at Damion and continued, " Sorry but yours was as well, don't worry this sleep will be a bit smoother than your last. I figured that it would be better for you if you went to sleep when I did your bandages. Also you need real sleep, not coma sleep. You are probably getting sleepy now..."

Cecily was right. He had figured that she might have done something like that. In all reality, Damion didn't need any drugs to make him go to sleep, he was already on the brink. His stomach was now tying itself in knots and his head ached. His chest still hurt and he felt like every part of his body had an ache all its own. His eyes grew heavy with sleep, but he managed to smile and slip out a few words,
"Thanks, I feel better already," he had barely managed to say that, falling into the bleak world of sleep quickly.

Cecily smiled at her handy work. Looking up at Tarian she chirped, " Brilliant isn't it? I don't have to worry about them for a good three hours." She then busied herself with dressings and bandages. When Damion awoke he would have a cooling feeling on his wound, along with a more secure, bandaged feel. No doubt it would still hurt, but hopefully, if the salve worked, it would take the bite out of it. Tarian couldn't help but shake his head at Cecily. She was so tricky. He knew how much she valued time alone, so the thought of her even having these guys here was impressive to him. " Yes, you could call it that. I just hope the chaps will be ok." " In my care, they will be." Cecily looked up at him with shining eyes. THE END [/center]
